HELLO

FRIENDS!

It all started in 1986 with an adorable female Yorkie puppy given to me as a birthday gift. From then on, my passion for Yorkshire Terriers has been a lifetime adventure!

A few years later I bred my first litter and I kept one of the puppies. I entered my first dog show in the fall of 1988.

With each breeding, I try to improve upon the past generation and always hoping for that special puppy, a prospective show dog. Besides breeding and showing Yorkshire Terriers, I am an all-breed dog groomer and own my own shop, THE GROOMING ROOM.

As you can see, dogs are a very important part of my life. There isn't a day that goes by they don't make me smile.

I have been breeding and showing Yorkshire Terriers since 1988 and strive to produce happy, healthy, yorkies.  I am president of an AKC all breed club, The Southeastern Iowa Kennel Club and have also been a member of the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America since 1997.

I encourage anyone thinking about welcoming a yorkshire terrier puppy into their life to educate themselves about this wonderful breed.  A great place to start is the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website: theyorkshireterrierclubofamerica.org

Not every puppy is a show quality pup, so on occassion I have precious pet puppies available for sale.  Puppies must be at least 12 weeks of age before they can go to their forever home.  I require them to be spay/neutered, no exceptions.

If you are interested in purchasing a puppy, please tell me a little bit about yourself, where you live, any children or other pets (if so, their ages) how much time you have to devote to the care of a new yorkie puppy.

RAINBOW

BRIDGE

www.rainbowbridge.com

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: They each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent; her eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, she breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together ...

Pets Bill of Rights

1. We have the right to be full members of your family.

We thrive on social interaction, praise, and love.

2. We have the right to stimulation.

We need new games, new toys, new experiences, and new smells to be happy.

3. We have the right to regular exercise.

Without it we become hyper, sluggish or fat.

4. We have the right to have fun.

We enjoy acting like clowns now and then; so don't expect us to be predictable all the time.

5. We have the right to quality healthcare.

Please stay good friends with our vet.

6. We have the right to a good diet.

Like some people, we do not know what is best for us.  We depend on you.

7. We have the right not to be rejected because of your expectations that we be great show dogs, watchdogs, hunters or baby-sitters.

8. We have the right to receive proper training.

Otherwise, our good relationship could be marred by confusion and strife -- and we could become dangerous to ourselves and others.

9. We have the right to guidance and correction based on understanding and compassion, rather than abuse.

10. We have the right to live with dignity... and to die with dignity when the time comes.
